  • My journey started as I sat down in my living room, trying to find something to do, because I was tired of spending so much time scrolling on social media. I've always liked being creative and I really liked drawing as a kid, especially horses.

Sharing my journey

I never truly learned how to get the proportions right when I was drawing as a kid, so this evening in November I decided to give drawing a chance again. I did multiple drawings a day for a long time. It was frustrating sometimes but at least I wasn't bored. After about a week of drawing I decided to share my journey of social media.

Sharing my progression

Weeks went by and I started seeing progress quite fast. I shared every drawing that I did, week for week, the good and the bad ones. What kept me motivated was redoing old drawings. I even started to find a drawing style that I liked.

Watercolors and acrylics

During spring and summer 2023 I wanted to try something new, so I started experimenting with watercolors and acrylics. Watercolors was the perfect medium for summer, cause I could easily bring it with me and paint on beaches and other locations.

Going bigger

After the summer of 2023 I wanted to get back to acrylic paintings again. I had a goal of creating a painting every week and I started with canvas panels, but now my goal is to paint on bigger canvases. It fills me with so much joy when I can sit down and create something while listening to my favorite "cottage" music, which for the moment is folklore and evermore by Taylor Swift.
